Buccs out ran Youths 25-5 New Image Predators - 7, BORCO Buccs - 4 Junior League - The Predators scored a run in the top of the first as Quincy Coakley walked and scored. In the second inning, Marcus Holbert led off with a basehit and scored on a wild pitch. Marco Rolle walked and Alvin Rolle reached on an error, they both scored as Coakley doubled to left to take a 4-0 lead. The Buccs came up with two runs to cut the lead in half as Alex Sweeting and Benniko Beneby scored after bases on balls. In the third, the Predators got the two runs back on a lead off basehit by Cameron Richardson; a walk to Ricky Rigby and a two RBI double by Holbert. In the fourth, the Predators got their final runs as Chris Malakius tripled and scored. The Buccs were only able to tally two more in the fourth, as Sweeting and Beneby scored again after walks, but it wasn't enough as the Predators strengthened their hold on first place. Marcus Holbert picked up the win, throwing a no-hitter and struck out eight with eight walks. Alex Sweeting took the loss. Holbert also led them with two hits on the day.
BORCO Buccs - 25, Police Youths - 5 Minor League - The Buccs behind the pitching of Franco Miller and relief from Sidney Neely, cruised to an easy victory. They allowed the Youths five runs in the seond inning, while on offence they scored five runs in the first inning, 11 runs in the second after sending 16 batters to the plate, and closed out the scoring with nine runs in the final inning, as lead off hitter Marvin Farrington and Franco Miller scored four runs each. Miller picked up the win and Ricardo Seymour took the loss.
BTC Predators - 10, Coke Zero (Holmes Rock) - 2 Pitcher Chavez Young was as sharp as a tack and never in any trouble as he threw a no-hitter, allowed two walks and struck out 11 batters as the Zeroes scored two unearned runs. In the first, the Predators scored three runs without collecting a hit and returned in the second and scored four more on a double by Stanton Moss, a two RBI triple by Young and a two run homerun by Quinton Rolle. They added a run in the third by David Mackey on a bases on ball and wild pitch to take a 8-0 advantage before Holmes Rock finally scored an unearned run in the fourth by Robert Thompson and another in the fifth by B. Thomas before the Predators closed out the scoring with two in the fourth as Young singled and scored on a RBI double by Rolle. Terrence Stuart took the loss. Quinton Rolle led the Predators with a two for two outing. BORCO Buccs - 7, FOCOL Predators - 5 Little League - In the bottom of the first, Carl Nottage doubled and scored on a passball, pitcher Robin Brown reached safely on an error and scored for a 2-0 lead. In the second, Dominco Sawyer reached on an error by the second baseman and scored and returned in the third and secured four more runs as Brichante Darius tripled and scored on an error by the first baseman. This put Julian Rolle on first, who scored on a passball, Anfrence Watson was hit by a pitch anad scored on a wild pitch to take a 7-0 lead. For the first three innings, Robin Brown was brillant from the mound, retiring the first nine batters he faced on order, striking out eight of them. In the fourth inning, after striking out lead off batter DeAngelo deGregory, the Predators rallied as Arthur Rolle singled and scored on a triple by Nashtin Mitchell, followed by back-to-back walks to Willis Mackey and Drexel Ingraham, they all scored on wild pitches, which casued the Buccs' coach to call on reliever Ashton Pratt to stop the uprising, which he did. Pratt struck out the next two batters he faced to end the inning. After retiring the Buccs in order in the fourth, the Predators returned in the fifth to score two more runs as Seberon Mackey walked and scored ahead of Arthur Rolle, who homered. But, it was not enough as the Buccs won the game. Brown was the winning pitcher, allowing two hits and striking out nine. Ashton Pratt got the save. Willis Mackey took the loss for the Predators.
Royal Bank Lions - 14, Police Youths - 3 Little League - The Youths jumped out on top as Princeton Hepburn reached on an error by the short stop and scored, but the Lions answered with three as Tyrell Lawrence and Tyler Garland supplied the hits. The Youths came back and tied the score as Ricardo Seymour and Hepburn walked and scored on a single by Ricardo Rogers. In the bottom of the third everything changed as the Lions took control by scoring fine runs on a single by Justin Thompson; double by Angelo Watson; triple by Lawrence and a basehit by Garland and closed it out in the fourth inning with six final runs. Antonio Griffin picked up the win throwing a one hitter and striking out nine hitters. Antonio Douglas was tagged with the loss. Tyrell Lawrence led the Lions with a two for two day inclusive of a triple and scored three runs.
Coke Zero (Holmes Rock) - 14, Police Youths - 12 The Holmes Rock boys playing in only their second game of the year came out victorious making their sponsor Coke Zero, represented by Joyann McIntosh, very proud. The Youths scored three in the first on a triple by Angelo Dames and a basehit by Ricardo Seymour but the Zeroes answered with five runs with hits coming from Robert and Dennis Thompson. In the second the Police' Tawana Cartwright scored to trim the lead but that was matched by Coke as Wenton Lightfoot walked and scored. The Youths scored three in the third inning while the Coke scored four on a double by Tracy Brown and a basehit by Dennis Thom-pson. The Youths scored two in the fourth to narrow the lead, but the Zeroes rallied for four runs on a hit by Jaronto Rolle to take a 14-9 advantage. In the final inning the Youths added three more runs but it wasn't enough as the Coke Zero boys enjoyed their first win. Robert Thompson claimed the win and Ricardo Seymour took the loss.
Ginn Lions - 12, Freeport Container Port Buccs - 4 Coach Pitch - The Lions scored six runs in the first inning as Shakur Seymour singled and Daniel Lefluer drove him in with a triple, then Jalen Hall homered to drive in Seandre Todd, Silas Brown and Branadon Simmons, who had all singled. The Buccs answered with two runs by Ashton Knowles and Adam Campbell. The Lions got a solo shot from Judah Brown in the second inning and returned in the third with a triple by Jadah Brown, doubles from Seymour, La Fleur and Hall and a hit by Alex Williamson and scored five runs. The Buccs scored two runs to close out the scoring as Adam Campbell and Andrew Spence scored before Gyasi Lewis popped to the second baseman to end the game.
Freeport Container Port Buccs - 10, Pepsi Predators - 8 The Buccs scored five runs in the first inning on basehits by Adam Campbell, Andion Spence, Gyasi Lewis and Taray Fowler and held the Predators to a run as Welly Bullard singled and scored. The Predators added a run in the second as Stephan Gibson singled and scored on a double by Joy Pratt. The Buccs scored a run in the third as Lewis scored on a RBI triple by Taray Fowler. Pepsi's Freddy Basden singled and scored for a 6-3 Buccs advantage. In the final inning the Predators scored five runs led by Dennis Johnson home run to take a 8-6 lead but the never say die Buccs rallied to tie the game then Lewis stepped to the plate and banged out the game winning hit with bases loaded to end the game with the sweet victory for the Buccs. |
