Hold on don't let go EVELYN WILLIAMS
Some of you have become weary and despondent in your waiting, feel like you have been praying in vain. But God is saying to you in this season, "Be not weary in well doing for in due season you shall reap if you faint not. Yea God said keep walking uprightly. "For He will not withhold any good thing from them that walk uprightly before Him. God said, yes for a long time it has been dark all around you and yes it seems like there is no justice for the righteous but know this day my child that this is a good time for me to work. For I am an expert of the dark and dead things. I shine in the dark. I move when you realize that only me can do it, when there is no hope, when you can see no way out, when your hands are tied and when you are at the point of throwing in the towel, then I know that you know only I can do it so don't stop doing good just know that God is working for you even on those things that seem dead and forgotten. Do you remember the story of Lazarus. When Jesus heard that his friend Lazarus was sick, He said, "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God." Jesus didn't panic. He didn't get into fear and He didn't worry. But He said Lazarus is asleep, but I will go and wake him up. Even though Jesus knew that Lazarus had died physically, His mindset was that Lazarus was only asleep. But to everyone else it appeared that Lazarus was dead in the grave and would never live on this earth again. Of course his sister Martha, believed that he would be resurrected in the distant future in the resurrection at the last day, but she had no faith that he would live again as her brother. Then Jesus made a statement that probably seemed strange at the time. He said, "I am the resurrection and life. He who believes in me though he may die, he shall live." Martha was caught up in religion and was convinced that Lazarus had already started to decay. Then Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you believe, you would see the glory of God? Then they removed the stone and Jesus said," Lazarus come forth." And he who was dead became alive. Your dream may appear dead and your religious brothers or sisters, your religious friends or family may tell you that your dream has already begun to decay. In fact when you talk about your dream to some people it seems to stink in their nostrils but never mind their talk. God is the God of the living, if you believe He can and will wake up your dream. Be careful with whom you share your dreams and desires. Satan will send people to discourage you and tell you that your dream is already dead and stink. Sharing them with the wrong people will not benefit you because they won't have your best interest at heart. If you feel you must share, seek wise counsel with someone that you know you can trust. Proverbs 11:14 said, without wise leadership, a nation falls; with many counselors, there is safety. In the same way Jesus spoke to Martha, God is saying to you today, "Did I not say to you that if you would believe, you would see the glory of God? Your God-given dream is not dead even though you may forget about it for a while it is only asleep. Apply your faith to your dream. Don't allow discouragement to kill your dream. Discouragement or having a lack of courage brings interference to your faith which de-activates your hope. Hope is the substance and foundation of your faith. Hebrews 11:1 says, faith is the substance or the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. "The spirit of discouragement diminishes your hopes and dreams. To discourage means to deter or hinder. Discouragement comes right before you quit. It was designed to make you give up on yourself and ultimately give up on God. Galatians 6:9 says, "Don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time. Proverbs 13:12 says, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick. In other words, a desire that is discouraged or put on hold makes the heart sick. But a desire accomplished is sweet to the soul. Hold on, don't let go of your dream. There will be challenges that were designed to wear you down, trying to get you to let go but don't let go. Even if you step out and make a mistake, God will not only show you how to learn from that mistake, but He will turn the mistake into stepping-stones. How can you lose? Hold on don't let go and you will see the manifested glory of God. Be blessed. |
