2010 A Prophetic Year Spiritual Awakening Part I Apostle A. L. Albury Kingdom Encounter Ministries International-(KEMI)
Sleep is a natural phenomenon and a part of our human existence. Sleep is one of those things that are essential to a healthy, productive and vibrant life. For some we don't get enough of it and for others we get too much of it. However as essential as sleeping is there is a time for sleeping and then there is a time to be awake. What would happen if we went to sleep and woke up a year later? Have you ever heard of persons who might have gone to sleep only never to awake? God forbid such a thing! My point to this is that anything remains asleep is considered dead on in a state of death. What then is spiritual awakening? It reveals to us that there is spiritual slumber at a time we ought to be awake; however to grasp the true meaning of spiritual awakening within the Church, we must seek to understand the eternal purpose of the Church and relate this to what we should be spending our lives fulfilling. Nahum 3:18 declares, "Your shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria. Your nobles are at rest; your people are scattered upon the mountains, and no one is gathering." When God's people fall asleep to their calling and destiny, people are scattered as there is no one to gather them. Indeed the harvest is plenteous but the labourers are few! Churches are springing up almost weekly and we are doing everything else but going after lost souls. Sadly enough, most God-fearing, totally committed Christians do not know the eternal purpose of the Church. It is this lack of knowledge that makes it difficult for many to fulfil God's divine purpose for their lives; thus producing a spiritual slumber that we need to be spiritually awakening from! Let's define the Church here; I am not referring to denominational or structured religious bodies, but to the divine agency of God in the earth realm, His Eternal Church. Jesus Christ is the head and we through salvation become His body in the earth. Matthew 16:18 says "... I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Let's look at this phrase, "I will build my Church." I is a personal pronoun that refers to self. Jesus takes personal responsibility for His Church to ensure that her purpose is fulfilled. Will, speaks to volition; that means the Church was, is and shall forever remain within the sovereign will of God. There are many things that will rise and fall in the earth realm but the church of the Lord Jesus Christ shall forever remain. Build speaks to the process of time, a drawn-out preordained time line requiring skill, knowledge and fore-knowledge. This tells us that no matter what, God will work all things out into the conformity of His perfect will. My, this means it belongs to HIM and to Him alone. He is the head. Church this is the mark of distinction that separates His people; therefore we are called the Ecclesia "called out ones." Ephesians reveals the ultimate purpose of the Church, "That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." Saints we must awaken to our destiny Jesus Christ, the bridegroom is awaiting His bride (the Church) to make herself ready. The book of Acts tells us that He must remain in heaven until the restoration of all things. God is allowing time as mankind's greatest opportunity to be restored back to Him before He comes in final judgment. Allow God to awaken and restore you today. Make a decision to get back to where you used to be in Him. He is requiring your submission and obedience today. You are about to intersect with unprecedented spiritual and supernatural events in your personal life. God is awakening you and calling you forth. You are living in a season that the Bible calls "the fullness of time." There are individuals, ministers, ministries and churches out there that have gone cold in past seasons. God is speaking into your spirit and calling you forth to do that which He has placed on the inside of you. Can you feel God's heartbeat in this season? You are tired of the old normal and praying for God to do something new in your life, yet you remain in the same place repeating and doing the same things over and over, netting the same results? Now is the time for you to become like King David's men who were renown be-cause they had understanding of their times. Will you be-come committed to new spiritual conquest and the winning of lost souls? Will you begin to live what you believe and preach? May this be your day of renewal and renewed commitment and may the Holy Spirit awaken in you the passion to love God in bold new ways and to serve one another in love. I pray that your commitment brings unending glory and honour to God. God's calling and anointing on you is very strong and He is about to release that which He has placed on the inside of you. This is God's hour, get ready for release, acceleration and advancement. Friends, keep those weekly emails coming (kingdomencounter@gmail.com). Glorious Kingdom Bless-ings, Apostle A.L.
