A Critical Thinker! Preacher's Corner With... Pastor Matthew Allen Kingdom Minded Fellowship
At some point in the life of even an average, no named, insignificant Bahamian; a critical thinking process begins. That which is on the rise from the global perspective is now initiating this eye opening, thinking process. It is so sad to see that the government of today which consists of both FNM and PLP is nowhere in the ball park when it comes to thinking out-of-the-box; as it relates to cutting edge technology and positioning The Bahamas to aggressively compete on the world's stage of life. It's a known fact that the British educational system is one of the world's best; and this is the very same system/vehicle that has been a tremendous blessing to thousands of Baham-ians. No matter where a Bahamian may have gone around the world to study in a field of his or her choice; at the end of the day that Bahamian would be counted among the top five students. Why? It's because of the educational foundation via the well rounded British system. Unfortunately, based upon the G.P.A. of the majority of our students today, it's only fair to question whether the British must have crept in and stolen/taken the engine out of the education vehicle. There is nothing worse than to hear a supposed to-be educated well paid leader making excuses for the deterioration of the once very strong national educational system. If the future survival of our nation is based upon the educational stability of the next generation; then The Bahamas is in big trouble. It is so, so sad to see how the politicians are using/playing political football or pin the tail on the donkey with education, youth development and health care. The politicians (FNM and PLP) can all be heard and seen patting themselves on the back or taking a bow during the House meetings; when talking about some task their ministry would have completed for a constituency. Now, I know that this may come as a shock to the politicians/the gods of today. "You've only done that which you have been elected to do; which is to serve the people" But to some degree, it's not all the politicians' fault for acting and speaking as they do; for it's the people themselves who have set you guys up as gods and worship them. Whenever I think of the word failure and look at the state of our country I often see a photo of today's politicians and religious leaders. Watch this! Here's the Webster's Dictionary definition of the word Failure: (1) A failure to do or perform, (2) A state of inability to perform a normal function adequately, (3) A fracturing or giving way under stress, (4) Deterioration or decay.
Now here's the other side of this failure coin:
The religious church/The nation's money making cash cow!
The religious church is now likened to a big money making business; where everybody is now opening their own church. There used to be a time when the criteria for the establishing of a church was "The being called of God to do so" but those days are long gone; it's all about making money today. Listen, if the above statement is not true; why is it then that religious leaders are in such competition with each other for membership? The churches are filled with what I've called Recycled Christians; these are members who were at church (A) for a few years then for some strange reason they're now at church (B) for another few years, and before long they can be found at church (C), en route back to church (A) depending on how well the Man-of God at church (C) can preach the word. Meanwhile there is a dying world of un-churched men and women outside the four walls that these religious folks care not about.
Stop for a moment and think about this!
If the religious church was truly in the soul winning business and with the amount of churches we've got in this country; the sinner man would have no place to hide. The criminals would then be complaining to the police about the Christians harassing and following them by having street meetings all over the place. But unfortunately this is not the case as the religious church-folks stay within their four walls screaming and preaching to one another, hosting their annual money making conferences and declaring that God showed up and blessed them. I've yet to hear these deep, spiritual spooky shysters teach/ inform the people of The New World Order and The One World Government. But when it comes to tithes and offerings/the sowing of money; these pulpit pimps are heavily anointed to fleece the people. I must admit that we do have some men and women of God that truly love His people and are operating in integrity; but the bad/wicked-evil ones most certainly out-weigh the good ones at this time; I'm of the view that evil triumphs, when good men say and do nothing. I have committed to speak as the Holy Spirit instructs me to and to do that which He's commissioned me too. I know that the truth hurts, but unless the truth comes forth the end result will be much worse than the little pain or discomfort this article may be causing at the moment. The Critical Thinkers' eyes and ears are open, and now we will open our mouths and cry aloud.
