The Jericho Road By Margaret C. Mullings
On the way to your divine destiny you will experience many encounters, hurt, and pain. You may get ambushed a few times and even be left for dead by those closet to you. Leaving you stripped of everything but Yahweh. Read this parable Jesus told of the Good Samaritan taken from the book of Luke 10:30-35. (30) " A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. (31) "Now by chance a certain priest came down that road, And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. (32) "Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked and passed by on the other side (33) "But a certain Samaritan as he journeyed, came where he was and when he saw him, he had compassion. (34) "So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. (35) " On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him. Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you." Like the Jericho road, the journey to your divine destiny is very dangerous. Therefore you must stay in the secret place of Yahweh's abiding presence; taking vital steps to discipline yourself to study the word, meditate in it, and search it constantly. Yielding all of self will to His perfect will and purpose. Fasting often as you regurgitate on the word. Yet you will still have an experience like the man on the Jericho road. The good news is ringing like a bell from Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon formed against you shall prosper. And every tongue which rises against you in judgement you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me, says the LORD. ' In Jesus' parable of the Good Samaritan. The thieves had beaten the man so severely, they actually thought he would die, and they assured themselves that no one would help him anyway, so they left him there. Can I tell you ? In what you are walking in your enemy (Satan) thought for sure you would die. Yet what the enemy did not know is that Yahweh has a Good Samaritan whom He will demonstrate His power and love through in His divine timing; to catapult you to that vital place in Him! Be it known to you this day in spite of all you are going through. You will make it safely as you travel to your divine destiny even as you encounter theJericho road; where thieves and derailers attempt to distort and destroy your character. Attempting to destroy your witness for Jesus Christ. Suddenly as lightning flashes from the East, Jehovah Gibbor is arising even now to deal with your derailers, and all of those who are assassinating your character. Yes! Like hot thunder bolts, the enemy is fleeing in seven different ways. Abba Father is your Great Defender, and He is taking care of you like the Good Samaritan took care of the wounded man in Jesus' parable. You will recover and receive the Resurrection power of Jesus Christ on the Jericho road! Come on give Yahweh, the God who redeems, give Him praise for your Jericho road experience for it is bringing you even closer to your divine destiny! |
