IMC 10th Anniversary Celebrations
The evening got under way as the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Praise Team ushered in the presence of the Lord during praise and worship. This was followed by the dance ministry of Tasman. Melissa Hart then officially welcomed all in attendance and gave a brief history of the choir. The atmosphere was set and the moment all had come for had arrived as IMC under the direction of Marleia Pinder took to the stage singing "Let the Praise Begin" and it surely did. Beautifully clad in their new uniforms, the choir ministered like only they could. Songs included The Sound, Hallelujah, It Aint Over, I'll Make It, Create In Me and My Life, My Love, My All. The audience clapped, sang along, danced and worshipped as the choir ministered under the anointing. International recording artist Derrick Starks of Detroit, Michigan was then introduced and he came and ministered. Starks along with IMC took the worship experience to yet another level ministering his original songs 'That's What I Was Created For' and 'I Love Him.' The audience got another chance to dance as he taught his caribbean song 'The Lord is Worthy, Worthy.' This brought the first segment to an end. Derek Stubbs, Founder and Manager of IMC took time to give special recognition to individuals for their invaluable contribution to the choir's ministry. These persons included Sophia Higgs, Mattie Mills, Onjaya Scott (the choir's #1 Fan from North Carolina), Jonathon Rigby, Min. William Brown, Pastor Dennis Missick, Pastor Kermit Saund- ers and Pastor Lindy Russell. Surprise special presentations were also given to Marleia Pinder and Derek Stubbs for their dedication and commitment. Following, IMC ascended the stage again, this time they were accompanied by. Angelique Starks of Detroit, MI, as they sang the very first song the choir did 10 years ago 'My Help'. This segment also included Let Every Thing That Hath Breath, Hallelujah, Salvation and Glory and crowd favourites Write the Vision and He's Able. They closed the evening with 'Souled Out' which was led by Starks and directed by Min. Valencia Dean-Brown. Stubbs said he wished to express sincerest thanks to the public at large for their support of IMC and looks forward to continual support. He also said that Grand Bahama as well as the entire Bahamas can expect some major projects from IMC in the very near future as the choir continues to 'Stir Up the Gifts' God has given them. Also performing during the evening was Pastor Simeon Outten and the Free-dom Band. Master of Ceremonies was Pastor Vaughn Miller who did an excellent job keeping the audience enthused. |
