Inspirational Thought: The man dressed in black vs. the man dressed in white By Margaret mullings
Head throbbing with pain, it must be a dream... a man dressed in black appeared before my bedroom door!... but how could he be standing there! He is very familiar... he is among the living, yes he is very much alive. Yet this had to be a dream and the next day he appeared again, only this time we fought and it became a wrestling match, which ended in a draw. The man in black kept on coming back quite frequently with his assaults. The day came and a showdown ensued.. it must have been a dream, for as I turned upon my bed..I saw him, the man dressed in black standing in the bedroom by the door watching me. Then came the man in white, he had a clipboard pad and pen in his hand, and he was writing, taking inventory of me. He was saying to the man in black "if you ever touch her again, you shall be annihilated!" What a dream, for the man in black was powerless to assault as he usually did. The man in white had stepped in to shut down his dark operation! Open your spiritual eyes and you will see him, for he is the man dressed in black, yet he is like satan, he does not just move in the darkness he visits mornings, noonday, and at evening! The word says in John 10:10 "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and kill and to destroy:" Beware! be on alert, confess every sin to Abba Father and close every door you have opened to the enemy. Make sure daily you put on the full armour of God, that when the man dressed in black comes to assault you, he would find you on your watch. Yes the man dressed in black would experience God's wrath upon him instead! What a showdown the man dressed in black vs. the man dressed in white! Head still throbbing and jumping up out of that awful, awful dream! Yet it seems all so very real! Still we must all be aware, for the word of God is reminding us to "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" I Peter 5:8 Yes we are admonished by the Apostle Paul in the book of Ephesians 6:11 to "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." It is time to watch, pray, study the word, and trust God to intervene on your behalf: like the man dressed in white to contend with the man dressed in black! What a blessed assurance to know that God will contend with those who are contending with you! Do not be afraid for God Himself is shutting down the operations of the man dressed in black. Be faithful and obedient in your walk with God, and the man in black will have no power over you!
