Church of God of Prophecy – Hawksbill Youths Honour Patriarchs

Submitted by Natasha V. Thompson

Youth and Children's Ministry Director

Love was truly in the air on Sunday, February 21 when the youth of the Church of God of Prophecy, Hawksbill honoured 12 of its senior members.

The youth of the church wanted to take time out to say how much they love and appreciate the senior members they worship with, and they showed their appreciation in fine style.

The senior members were escorted to their seats by the young people and entertained by the Youth and Children's Ministries. Late in the service they were presented with a rose and gift certificates.

In their own quite and prayerful way, they continue to be a source of strength, inspiration and great support to the young people of the church. This was just a small way of saying how much the senior members are loved and cherished.

The honorees were: Min. Evelyn Henfield, Min. Victoria Palmer, Min. Lucille Adderley, Sis. Yvonne Ferguson, Sis. Alvissa Forbes, Sis. Vittel Rolle, Bis-hop Lionel Douglas, Bro. Samuel Pratt, Bro. Royal Stubbs, Bro. Mervin Henfield, Bro. Jeffrey Capron and Bro. Stanley Butterfield.

Also among the senior honorees was Minister Kenneth Basden and his precious wife Lillian, who were celebrated by the youngsters for their unselfish and sacrificial giving, to the development of the Youth and Children's Ministries at the local church.

They were encouraged from the scripture Galation 6:9 not to "be weary in well doing, for in due season they will reap, if they faint not." Heartfelt thanks and congratulations are extends to our precious pearls and to Minister Basden and his precious wife.

"You deserve only the best! This is your season to be blessed! You are special and we love you. Con-gratulations are extended to all of senior members on behalf of the senior pastor, Tyrone Wildgoose and his family; associate pastor Raymond Albury and his family, the youth leader, assistant leaders, advisors, youth, officers and members of the church. Continue to be a blessing," said Natasha Thompson, youth and Children's Ministry director.

"There was a great joy in honouring our senior members. It was thrilling. It was exhilarating. It was important to be a part of sharing our talents, love and gifts.

"It is our love, it is our joy ," added Thompson.
