The child who was struck by a 2000 Cadillac Deville, in the Jones Town, Eight Mile Rock area on Sunday, April 1, succumbed to his injuries Thursday at the Princess Margaret Hospital.
The boy was a pedestrian when the vehicle driven by a female driver around 2:00 p.m. on the mentioned date struck him.
Following the accident the two year old was listed in critical condition and airlifted to the Princess Margaret Hospital on New Providence to receive addition medical attention.

In the wake of the fatality, police are once again cautioning the public to drive with caution and care, particularly in residential areas, shopping areas and school zones where children may run through vehicles to cross the street or get to get to a vehicle.
The island's first traffic fatality for 2012 was 39-year-old Ezekiel Alexander Dean.
Dean was driving a gray, 2002 Ford Taurus that crashed into a concrete pole while travelling along East Sunrise Highway shortly before 11:00 p.m. on Monday, February 18
