Organization reearth launches 'action plans' to protect the environment
In wake of pressing environmental challenges facing The Bahamas, an organization by the name of reEarth has released an Action Plan, with the aim of raising awareness and "tackle critical environmental challenges in The Bahamas." In a blog post on TheBahamas weekly.com, Sam Duncombe of reearth described the document as "a first-of-its-kind in The Bahamas," and noted that "reEarth hopes that this document will act as the foundation to continued learning and leadership in the realm of environmental protection going forward. Post Valentine's Day event offers something for everyone
The brother and sister team of Kenton and Kerel Pinder is bringing to the Island of Grand Bahama a Post-Valentine's Day party for those who are in a relationship, single or an otherwise complicated liaison, in the form of the Stop Light Party. Speaking about the event, Kerel described it as "Valentine's day fun for everyone," and said "On February 18 at the Pelican Bay, Canal House; SisBro Productions will be hosting a Post Valentine Stop Light Party. The Stop light party idea has been around for ages and has been seen a lot at college campus parties. We decided to add a new dynamic, by tying the party in with Valentine's Day and giving the event a more stylish flair. I have often heard a lot of singles complain that there is nothing to do on Valentine's Day, even though they're interested in going out and having a good time too. Full Story
