Survival Summit hailed a success

Dear Sir:

Sir, it is truly a pleasure to be able to return to the pages of your daily as a contributing writer after being away for a while.

Today's topic is 'Survival summit, just what our souls needed.'

My brothers and sisters in Christ, it was truly a wonderful week after experiencing the most awesome move of God that I have seen in my life here on this earth.

For those of you who don't know what I am talking about, I am talking about the Survival Summit held at St. John's Cathedral last week and hosted by Bishop Godfrey Williams.

My, my, my, what a revival that was. I must pause to encourage Bishop Williams, his lovely wife Lady Iris Williams, young brother Williams (son), the ushers and all the persons who made that summit the success that it was.

With God in the midst and the presence of so many true worshippers praising God and giving him thanks for allowing them to see another year, it was what the Freeport area and indeed the entire Bahamas needed in times like these.

My friends, we need to encourage our spiritual leaders to lead us through revival times in order for our minds and spirits to get renewed regularly.

Each night was a renewed blessing and message for our souls, but on the last night, Reverend Terrence Morrison brought home the message for all positions in the church body.

Time would not permit me to go into any details so just stop by St. John's Cathedral and pick up a copy of all the messages. You will be blessed as a result of experiencing those messages.

My goal with this letter is only to congratulate St. John's Cathedral and Bishop Williams for a job well done that is worthy of praise. Sir, my wife and I were moved and truly renewed as a result of that summit and I am sure countless others feel the same way.

That is what was missing in our land for too long and it is my prayer that more of the same would follow in the not too distant future.

The Lord showed up in a big way during days of revival and many souls were saved for the Lord.

Once again, on behalf of the people of The Bahamas and indeed Grand Bahama, we thank God for the vision that he gave Bishop Williams and I just thank God for that summit and will continue to pray for all those persons who have made it the success that it was.

It was a life changing experience for me, I will never be the same as a result of the information and blessing that I received during its (summit) three days of power filled messages.

Grand Bahama wake up and realize that our God is soon returning to this earth and will demand an account of your stewardship here on this earth.

You are going to meet your maker one way or the other, why not get it right with him today because no one knows the time or the hour of his return. Do not get caught on the outside of his will. Do it today for tomorrow may be too late.

God bless you and keep you as you make the change in your life to serve God in spirit and in truth while rejecting the devil and all of his empty promises.

To confirm God's assurance of salvation, I pray that you take the time and read Psalms 37 and I John chapter five verses nine through 13. Remember, if you are not a member of a church, get connected to a Bible teaching church where you will be able to grow.

My quote for today is by Henry Kaiser who wrote, 'Problems are only opportunities in work clothes.'

Until next time, continue to pray for me as I pray for you.

Sincerely Yours

WILLIAM NAIRN
