Intercession

by: Prophetess Jasmin Dareus - Published Thursday, February 16, 2017

Intercession is the ‘romance’ of heaven.

The Greek word for Intercession is  “pagah,” which means to impinge (to invade or interrupt) by accident or by violence. Further defined it means to encroach or to advance beyond the usual limit. Also, it means to fall upon and to “speak into the ears.”

The boundary you are to reach in life will never be reached if not interceded into. Intercession involves forcefully taking territory and conquering.  Intercession is warfare, battle, wrestling and interrupting the powers of darkness.

In intercession, the person praying shares in the burden that Christ Jesus feels for a person, place or circumstance anywhere in the world.  We then, in intercession, partake of Christ’s suffering. We enter into our priestly function of providing an earthly base for God’s heavenly mandates.  Intercession literally makes the natural subject to the realm of the Kingdom of God.  Thy kingdom Come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

I believe that the prayer of intercession breathes life and manifests miracles for those interceding for (Elisha in 2 Kings 4:29-34).  The Holy Spirit said to me one night as I interceded, heavily burdened and deeply broken in Spirit, you don’t have to knock when you come to me my child.  I expect to meet you at certain times and you very rarely disappoint me.  So the door is always left open for you.

If you find for some reason the door is locked, use your keys.  For I have given you keys to the kingdom.  Intercessors possess the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven.

“And I will give unto thee the keys of the Kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19

Intercessors stand in the gap for people, and nations that cannot or refuse to do it themselves. Intercessors are like arrows, bright as lightning bolts, ready for the Lord’s command. We intercept, interject and interrupt Satan’s plans and schemes spiritually for a natural manifestation (Col 2:15) of heaven’s declaration over our lives.

Jeremiah 27:18 “But if they be prophets, and if the word of the Lord be with them, let them now make intercession to the Lord of hosts that the vessels which be left in the house of the Lord, and in the house of the King of Judah go not to Babylon.”

Intercession keeps God’s people out of captivity and bondage. It also strengthens those in places of authority to carry out the will of God in the earth.

Intercession is the type of prayer needed to penetrate nations closed to hearing the gospel (Acts 14:27/2 Cor 2:12).  China and Russia along with all the other non-Christian nations were penetrated and broken through in intercession first in the realm of the spirit.  Oh believer, the Lord is still looking for a man/woman to make up the hedges.  Will you intercede at His beckoning?  The very fact that you are reading this signifies your call to the ministry of intercession.

Intercession releases the mind of the Spirit and the perfect will of God for the believer’s life (Luke 6:12-16/John 5:19).  Intercession should be done before all major decisions in your life.  Before Jesus chose His 12 disciples, He interceded all night, which presents us with a biblical pattern that we should follow.

Intercession is so important it is single reason Jesus lives and is seated at the right hand of our Father (Hebrews 7:25).  He ever liveth to make intercession for us.

Let’s Interceed: Father, I pray right now for every Watchman, Gatekeeper, Prayer Warrior, Daysman and Intercessor that has lost their passion for prayer and I release the zeal of the Lord and the Fire of the Holy Ghost to consume them.  Upon every dry altar today, I call down the Fire of God to ignite and burn with a freshness in the Spirit. I release upon all reading the Spirit of Grace, supplication and Intercession now that you experience breakthrough and Deliverance where needed most. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen and Amen.
